Leadership Coaching:
Development is an ongoing process.
How we learn from our challenges determines how successful we will be in our work and life.
It’s something we need to take responsibility for, we can no longer expect companies to develop us, they may offer training which improves our skills but development happens when these new skills are put into practice and that’s up to us. Research has shown that adults continue to develop throughout their lives with the right conditions and this is known as vertical development.
For some people, this will occur naturally but for others, they will benefit from having support from others who can facilitate this growth.
Engagement with the work we do is important for our well-being.
Engagement with the work we do is important for our well-being. Our work is important to us and the more autonomy we have in how we structure it to suit our preferences the more likely we are to experience flow or ‘get in the zone.’
With information overload, the challenge is to sift through this and pick out the theories and toolkits that are useful, and apply these. We do the hard work for you allowing you to focus and succeed.
